I’m doing well, thank you. Sandman is feeling a bit better, the cold has moved into his chest. Hopefully the end of it is soon upon us. I’ve been free of illness, thankfully. I’m careful to keep the hard surfaces of my apothecary clean.

This isn’t to all of you, of course. Or even the majority of you. But I felt the need to rant because that’s what I do. Pete Wentz posted a picture of himself and Andy Hurley last night at SXSW. Keep in mind, I see people wishing they would take pictures together when they hang out to “give you hope” that they’re all still friends. And then when they DO post pictures of them together and post them where you lot can see them, a lot of you get angry and talk about how you should “punish Pete” for “getting your hopes up”. I’ve seen posts of people saying you should post pictures of his dick all over the internet to punish him for sharing the picture with you. That you should blow up his twitter with how dare yous. Tell him off for “teasing you”.
Here’s a better, more productive idea instead: Grow up. For gods SAKE. You would think you lot would have learned with what happened with Patrick Stump’s last blog post. If you freak out and cry to them and get angry and demanding and nasty and immature, ALL you are ensuring is that they will never, ever get back together, never ever release another album, and never ever post pictures of themselves hanging out together again. Is that what you want? Would you rather he have not posted it at all? Would you rather he have not shared it with you?
This makes my cussing head hurt today. Don’t be bullys, you’re better than that. And if you’re not better than that, it’s not too late to decide to BE better than that. So do it, goddamn it. Quit being children, wise up and appreciate the remainder of what they choose to give you. It will be a sad day when pictures like this stop showing up because all they do is cause turmoil and flack.
I concur, completely. Please, think of the human being on the other side of the internet that you are treating so poorly. I’m sure you would not like that same treatment from strangers who purportedly love you.
